I asked him about what visitation holidays he is interested in…this is what he told me.
I have an attorney and he’s representing himself. He hasn’t really done anything for our children in the past 2 years and has never seen our daughter who is about to be 2 years old.
He said, "I’ll let you know when they move down here…I’ll let you know."
Ok, man-speak…what does that mean? Ok, I know he told me he’ll let me know, but I am ready to file my response SOON. Like within the next week w/my attorney.
I’ve been asking him like 2x a week about it but I never get a response. Also, I am planning to settle down in Dallas…that is why he answered, "I’ll let you know when they get down here…"
I’m being nice to him…I’m even asking him instead of rushing it with my lawyer.
He filed for a divorce after a huge argument. And after I found out, I told him that I was glad he did, b/c now I can totally move on with my life. At first I was sad, but had to be honest with myself and really dig deep down, because I know he is not good for me. Believe me, it was a decision my heart didn’t want to make but also couldn’t take and my head (mind) knows I deserve better.
But I’m doing my part to help my kids have a relationship with him..but there is only so much I can do.
He’s had almost 2 weeks to think about it..does it really take that long to think about whether you want your kids to spend a holiday such as Thanksgiving or Christmas with you each year?
He also spoke to our son today and he asked my son (I over heard it) "What’s your mom doing?"
If I cannot get my change of venue granted, there is this transPARENTING class that we both have to go to. It’s a 4 hour class in the state where he lives and I have to find a class that is the equivalent of the class over there…this class MUST be completed and filed with the court before a judge can grant a divorce.
I am not trying to fight against the divorce, Im giving him what he wants-this divorce.
But why is it so hard to make a decision like this when it involves both of your children and you basically had 2 weeks to think about it? I’m filing my response this week.
I moved away when I was 7.5 mos pregnant. He was sleeping around and I found out when my instincts old me to go to the hospital to get examined. He knew where we were going and he saw us the day we were about to board our flight.
I moved away almost 2 years ago. He wanted to be single again. Our oldest child was almost 2 then, and I was 7.5 mos pregnant with our second child. He knew I was leaving he saw us the day we left. I decided to leave b/c I didn’t have any relatives there and after some wise counsel from my church felt it was best to go live where my relatives are.
Thanks, hit pig…I will have to mention that to my lawyer just to make sure he knows. He didn’t want any type of custody on the divorce complaint. But I’m trying to get the venue changed for the divorce because we have lived here the past 2 years…and I am not going back and forth to the other state with these 2 young children..plus I am a full-time college student.

Recently a judge ruled against red light camera operators in Dallas. They were found to be illegally operating without a license. Can I file a lawsuit against the camera operator like the attorney in dallas did and get my money back for my red light violations?

The Dallas decision was unique due to political circumstances that the camera operations were not properly approved by the local government.
I suppose it is possible the same thing happened in your jurisdiction but most unlikely.
Even a future law suit in your jurisdiction happened to come to the same conclusion, the Court judgment would not likely be applied to past convictions that were not appealed nor still on appeal. Very few laws apply retroactively.
